OUR STORY

The Buon Tempo Italian - American Club is a social welfare organization based in the East Bay at  Castro Valley and meets at the Hayward-Castro Valley Moose Lodge.  Membership is open to men of Italian descent or non-Italian men who meet the membership qualifications and interested in preserving and promoting Italian culture.

The Club’s activities include two dinners each month, charity and community bocce tournaments fundraisers, an annual club picnic & bocce, and two annual crab feeds.  In addition to these activities The Buon Tempo Club holds an annual open bocce tournament and a separate dinner fundraiser to support the George Mark House.  The Buon Tempo Club also awards scholarships to graduating High School seniors of Italian descent.  To date, membership has awarded over $160,000 in scholarships.

The Club’s name BUON TEMPO means “Good Times”  and the family-oriented Club’s main purpose is to promote camaraderie, serve the community, and to preserve & enjoy the Italian culture.
